Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, although this is not mandatory.

You can also declare your withdrawal using the electronic withdrawal function. The 'Withdraw from contract' button can be found permanently and clearly visible in the footer of our website. If you use the withdrawal function, we will send you a confirmation of receipt of your withdrawal declaration without delay on a durable medium (e.g. by email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notice concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

The withdrawal must be addressed to the contact details given above. Your statement must clearly indicate that you wish to withdraw from the contract. A withdrawal by email is sufficient. Alternatively, you can use the electronic withdrawal function ('Withdraw from contract') on our website; in this case, receipt of your withdrawal will be confirmed to you without delay.

To speed up processing, please provide your invoice or order number as well as the email address used when placing the order. This information is voluntary and is not a precondition for the validity of the withdrawal.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments we have received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received notice of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.

Special Note on Digital Content / Services

For contracts concerning the supply of digital content not supplied on a physical medium (e.g. the Codes of Life® analysis as a PDF report), your right of withdrawal expires prematurely if

1. you have expressly agreed that we begin performance of the contract before the withdrawal period expires,
2. you have confirmed your knowledge that, by giving your consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance of the contract begins, and
3. we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract on a durable medium (e.g. by email).

You give the corresponding consent and acknowledgment during the order process via the checkbox provided for this purpose, before completing your order.

Insofar as the subject matter of the contract is a service, the right of withdrawal likewise expires prematurely if we have fully performed the service and have only begun performance after you gave your express consent to this and simultaneously confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed the contract.
